Jobs that are actually open this week

Every public role on UCPeople is LIVE this week. Listings expire in seven days unless the employer renews. An admin approves each one before it hits the board.

Anyone who has searched a large job board has opened a role that was filled months ago. Old listings still collect clicks. Candidates waste an afternoon. Employers look like they are hiring when they are not. CPC inventory rewards volume, so the ghost jobs linger.

We took the other side of that trade. The public board and the job sitemap only include LIVE jobs. If you see a role here, someone is keeping it up this week. That is the whole freshness rule. No year-old postings. No “this job may no longer be available” after you already wrote a cover letter.

A seven-day live window

When an admin approves a job, the clock starts. Seven days later it expires unless the employer extends or auto-renew is on. Extend buys another seven days at the current weekly price ($10 a week). Cancel anytime; the listing runs to the end of the week already paid, then comes down. We do not leave expired jobs on the board to look busy.

Admin approval sits in front of that clock on purpose. Jobs do not go live on submit. They wait in review. That is slower than instant self-serve ads, and it is how spam and stale copy stay off the homepage. Hiring, made human, also means a human looks at the post.

What candidates see

Each live card can show how many days are left in the week. Easy Apply still works without an account: name, email, PDF, optional 45-second pitch. You are applying to a job that is open right now, not a listing from last hiring freeze.

We are a smaller board than Indeed. That is honest. A short, current list beats a long one full of ghosts. If you want the product comparison — weekly flat fee, no CPC, talent search while a job is live — read the Indeed alternative page. Then come back and browse jobs.

Employers: posting is $10 a week. You get seven days live after approval, not a listing that sits in search until someone remembers to take it down. If the role is still open, extend. If it is filled, let it expire or close it. That is how the board stays readable.
